Metro Animal Services’ offices require unexpected maintenance that cannot be delayed. This maintenance seems to be confined to the office areas only. The safety of our staff and visitors, both people and pets, are our top priority. Staff will be moving their offices to a temporary vehicle onsite and continue to serve the animals in our care as normal. Due to this circumstance, we can meet people by appointment only. We are unable to serve drop-in guests at this time.
Metro Animal Services is a partnership between the cities of Puyallup and Sumner, serving both cities plus an additional five cities by contract. In this partnership, Sumner operates the program while Puyallup provides a facility. The building is the property of the City of Puyallup. Both cities are working together to respond swiftly to the building’s needs and fully assess what needs to be done. In the meantime, staff will utilize a mobile office unit on site and continue to care for the animals in their normal spaces.
