DRY DOG FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED!With our dog kennels at or near maximum capacity for over a month, we are in need of donations of dry adult dog food for large breeds as well as small breeds. In order to maintain a consistent diet for the pups in our care (and keep their tummies happy!) we would prefer Kirkland brand dog food from Costco, but it is certainly not required. Whether you can help us with one bag, or your business would be willing to donate a bunch, every kibble helps and is greatly appreciated!Donations can be shipped to the shelter, or dropped off Tuesdays/Wednesdays and Fridays/Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We are located at 1200 39th Ave. SE near the South Hill mall in Puyallup. ... THANK YOU P.A.W.S. FOR YOUR HELP WITH OUR PUPS!Join us in expressing our tremendous gratitude to P.A.W.S. (Progressive Animal Welfare Shelter) for answering our desperate plea for help when our dog kennels reached capacity. Today our buddies Violet, Sonic, Knuckles, Star and Arrow were transferred into the care of P.A.W.S. at their facility in Lynnwood. We know that these pups will be lovingly cared for by their incredible team as they await their forever homes. This help from P.A.W.S. was critical, because just as quickly as the transfer opened 5 of our dog kennels, we had 5 more unwanted/abandoned dogs come in to the shelter and fill those kennels. So we are still at capacity for dogs, and very close to capacity for cats and especially kittens.Want to learn more about P.A.W.S.? SHELTER AT CAPACITY!Due to large numbers of strays coming in to the shelter and not being claimed by their owners, we are once again at capacity for dogs and cats.We are a small shelter, so when we have over 75 animals in our care we need to find loving homes for these dogs and cats as soon as possible. Kennel space is vital for our operations so that we can continue to take in lost/stray animals, abused or neglected animals, and potentially dangerous dogs from the communities we serve. Our shelter in located in Puyallup, WA, near the South Hill Mall. We are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and again on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.To learn more about the adoption process, please visit our website at: metroanimalservices.org/i-want-a-pet/adoption-process/ ...
